Celebrating with our sisters from Queen of Peace 100 Years!

Last Saturday, May 2, the Religious Sisters Servants of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and of the Poor from the Queen of Peace community celebrated 100 years of presence in the Diocese of El Paso, Texas.
The Mass was held at Guardian Angel Catholic Church as we joyfully gave thanks for a century of faithful service, from 1926 to 2026. Through their apostolate in parish ministries, service to the homeless, and their work in education as a school in past years, the sisters have been a living witness of Christ’s love and mercy in our community.
The celebration was presided over by Bishop Mark Seitz, together with Bishop Anthony Celino and priests who are currently helping and accompanying this religious community. Sisters from the Father Yermo Convent, benefactors, and members of the community also gathered together in thanksgiving and celebration for this special occasion.
We thank God for His mercy and love throughout all these years, and for all those who have been part of this ministry and have made this mission possible. May the Sacred Heart of Jesus continue to bless and guide them for many years to come.
